    About

The Plymouth Historical Society Inc. established in 1986, is a non profit 501 c 3 organization, funded through donations. Our mission statement is the preservation, protection and projection, of our local history. The society does extensive genealogical and local historical research. We have established a reference library and extensive museum, on the premises,  containing numerous historical artifacts and displays which reflect our local history. The Plymouth Historical Society research and museum facility is located at 115 Gaylord Ave, Plymouth, Pa.   Weather permitting we do our best to keep our facility open during the winter months. Our hours through April 1, 2024 are 12 noon to 3 pm Thursday and Saturday, excluding holidays.

If necessary, we can open other times and days by appointment. Either way, it's always best to give us a call before you visit. In the meanwhile, you can always contact here or at our Facebook link shown below.

The PHS is also active in our community, participating in local events and preservation of historical sites such as our Avondale Mine Disaster Site in Plymouth Township.
